This week, our Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer, Jackie Iversen RPh MS attended a gathering of innovators, journalists, and thought leaders in New York City for the 2024 STAT News Strategic Summit East. At this event, the Director of the National Institute for Drug Abuse (NIDA), Nora Volkow, was interviewed by a staff member at STAT News. At the end of this interview, Dr. Volkow discusses the moral imperative for pharmaceutical companies to work harder and together to find newer classes of drugs to combat the continuing plight of Opioid Addiction. Keenly related to this, Jackie posed a fascinating question to the Director (4:30 min) who affirmed Sen-Jam’s scientific thesis around inflammation being a potent target to isolate and help decrease symptoms and duration of suffering to get off opioids, even suggesting it to potentially “transform” addiction.
This is fantastic validation for our work, and because of this, we wanted to share it with you and ask you to share it with others.
We invite you to watch this amazing 5-minute clip HERE and share this mission-critical information with your circles. As Nora underscores, there are many reasons why the currently available medications are not being used and why the time is now to embrace new, effective, and safe solutions like the ones promised by Sen-Jam Pharmaceutical. Together, we can turn the tides in this war on recovery. To read the full STAT News series on the epidemic, click HERE.
